- Grow With Us. Each year The MERLOT conference and community grows. Since our first conference in 2000, we have seen a growth each year. Participating at MIC07

Note: All sponsorship opportunities are subject to “first-come, first served” availability and conference deadlines. All Conference Sponsorship Fees must be paid prior to the start of the conference.

Plenary Session Speakers
Plenary sessions are the highlight of each day’s program during the MERLOT International Conference because these sessions feature speakers that are well-respected and knowledgeable in the education world. A public acknowledgement of the sponsorship will be made from the podium at the start of the session and the logo of the sponsoring company will be displayed during the session. In addition, the sponsor’s logo will be placed next to the session abstract in both the online and print versions of the program.
The MIC07 Connections Room (includes Exhibit Space) will be located in the Sheraton New Orleans Napoleon Ballroom. The Connections Room provides an informal, relaxed atmosphere where conferees can connect with colleagues including MERLOT members, MERLOT Editorial Board Representatives, and Corporate Representatives. Morning breaks, afternoon dessert, and a wine tasting reception will all be held in the Connections Room.

While all conferees can visit the Connections Room at any time, they are encouraged specifically during the following times.

The Connections Room is secured during conference hours by allowing only those with conference badges into the space. After Conference hours the room is locked and a security guards roam inside and outside the area.
Notes: Security provided to prevent unauthorized access into the area. It should NOT be relied upon as security for Corporate Sponsor property.
Platinum and Gold Sponsors are guaranteed one (1) thirty-minute concurrent, educational presentation during the conference. It is strongly recommended that these sessions not be sales oriented and that at least one of the presenters be from a higher education institution. Conference Program details will be posted to the conference website by April 27 and content will be regularly updated as new material is received. The deadline for content for the printed program is April 30, 2007.
MERLOT Corporate Forum
Corporate representatives will have the opportunity to meet with key people in the MERLOT organization who are decision makers on campus. It will be your agenda to captivate their minds!
Spots strategically located throughout the conference hotel that provide high speed wireless Internet access. Corporate Sponsors will be acknowledged through signage at each spot.
Conference Program Ad
Your company has the opportunity to place a full-page ad in the MIC07 Printed Program. Copy must be camera ready, black and white only, no larger than 8 inches wide by 10.5 inches tall, and electronically submitted in both .eps and .jpg format by May 15, 2007.
MERLOT Community Breakfast
On Wednesday and Thursday morning the MERLOT Community, which is comprised of the Advisory Board, Project Directors, Editors, and Editorial Boards, meets for breakfast. Your company has the opportunity to be visible through signage, flyers, and attendance for as many as 3 corporate representatives.
Your company will be an official sponsor of the traditional wine-tasting event. If you have a booth and want to have one of the wines tasted from there, please contact us.
An acknowledgement in the program and signage will thank the sponsor of each half-hour refreshment break. Some companies find it effective to bring souvenirs with the company logo to distribute during this break. Examples may include coffee mugs or note pads.
All Corporate Sponsors must register for the conference. If you are provided with complimentary registrations, you confirmation letter will provide instructions on how to register. Full registration includes all conference sessions, conference materials, lunches, wine tasting, and all breaks. Up to two Exhibitor Passes will be provided for personal working the booth.
About the 2007 MERLOT International Conference
The MERLOT Conference Committee invites you to attend the seventh Annual MERLOT International Conference (MIC07) to be held in New Orleans from August 7-10, 2007. The MIC07 conference theme Jazzing IT up with MERLOT recognizes the collaborative efforts within disciplines and the education community around the World to enhance teaching and learning through the use of Instructional Technology. Conference attendees span all disciplines and the continuum from novice to expert in the development and use of online resources.

The Sheraton New Orleans Hotel is the official location of MIC07. Group rates are $129 single or double plus applicable occupancy charges and taxes. Hotel rooms will be held for MERLOT participants until July 10, 2007. Reservations made after that date will be taken based on space and rate availability.
