MERLOT has negotiated a special rate of CAN$170 (approximately US$145) per night for a single occupancy room. Additional persons are $20 each. This rate is subject to provincial and local taxes, currently 7% GST, 5% room tax and 3% destination fee. To confirm your reservation, you must provide a major credit card at the time of booking. Reservations must be cancelled 24 hours prior to scheduled arrival or the deposit equal to one night’s stay will be forfeited. To avoid an early departure fee of 50% of the reserved room rate, you must inform the hotel at or before check-in that you will be departing early.
Group rates will be offered two days before and two days after the dates of the conference, based upon availability at the time of reservation. The MERLOT International Conference room block will be held until Friday, June 30, 2006. After this date, the rooms will be released and reservations will be taken based on availability of group rate.

Every guest room features high-speed Internet access for CAN$12.95 per day. The rate is CAN$14 one-way and $22 round trip when purchased upon your arrival at the airport. Shuttles run approximately every 30 minutes from 5:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. Sunday through Friday. Travel to and from Canada - PASSPORT ADVISED
While regulations currently state that U.S. citizens are not absolutely required to have a passport for travel to Canada and return to the U.S., you are strongly advised by customs officials to have a passport for this travel.
